to you, nosy family and gossipers

Dear Nosy Family,

You have a big nose, did you know that? Maybe you do and don't care. I don't care either. You can be nosy, that's ok. And you can have an opinion, and even share your opinion with others, you gossiper you. Ash in one's mouth though, I hear it is quite uncomfortable. And your health, oh my.

I know you are out there and I know how small and petty your life is, and how much you love to waste time. Did you know you only have one life? If you want to spend your time thinking about me, talking about me, stewing about me, by all means, be my guest. But am I worth it? If you hate me as much as you say you do why do you care so much to give me your precious time? Don't you have your own life to look after? Your own family to control? Your own problems to deal with?

My writing is first and foremost for my benefit, writing is how I learn, how I get through things, how I avoid inclinations that otherwise would not serve me. Then it is for the benefit of those that need to read what I write to either avoid life's pitfalls, know that they are not alone, or to find and live with gratitude for the life they do have. If you are here to be nosy, to get the details, to gossip, my writing is not for you.

Other than hearing about you, hearing about how you are obsessed with my life, I don't think about you. I sleep soundly knowing that I never have to see you again. Never have to listen to your shrill drunk whine. Never have to hear your cackle. I don't hate you, hate is not my thing. I just don't like you. You are a nasty mean vile person. Always have been.

But there is still hope for you, you know. You could change, I believe in miracles and I believe that God is ultimately in control. You could turn out to be a nice person, a kind soul, you could lose hate and gain love. Either that or one day you will weep bitter tears, as they say.
